Laurie Heatherington

An actor & director, Laurie is a member of the Guild Players at Finchley Methodist Church. He is an acting and voice tutor and his list of directing credits is extensive. A published author and playright, he is particularly noted for the musicals he has written, mainly in collaboration with Spike Hughes. More recently collaborating with Mike Sparks and Carole Clarke for his promenade presentation of 'Fancy' based on Thomas Hardy's 'Under The Greenwood Tree'. Lauries's credits also include a recording entitled 'Poems That Please', which features many favourite and popular pieces.

Mike Sparks

An actor & director, Mike is a member of The Guild Players at Finchley Methodist Church. Specialising in comedy roles as an actor, he has also directed plays for several groups, but is probably best known for his work as a Pantomime Director. He has written modern 'Mystery Plays' for Good Friday audiences. As a freelance broadcaster he won the Catholic European Broadcasting Award, and produced a number of programmes for the BBC. A published songwriter in the English tradition, his material is widely used by other singers and has been heard in places as far afield as Estonia and San Diego.
